🎯 Course Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will:

  • Understand the principles and practices of phlebotomy, including relevant anatomy and physiology of venipuncture

  • Become familiar with the tools and equipment used in blood collection and their correct application

  • Develop hands-on skills in performing venipuncture safely and confidently

  • Learn how to support patients with special needs, such as those with needle anxiety or difficult veins

  • Understand infection prevention practices, including aseptic techniques and safe disposal of sharps

  • Identify common complications (e.g., fainting, hematoma) and know how to manage them

  • Build confidence in communicating effectively and delivering compassionate patient care during procedures
