This half-day, in-person course provides vital training for healthcare professionals on the recognition and emergency management of anaphylaxis—a life-threatening allergic reaction. The course ensures participants are prepared to act quickly and confidently to preserve life and minimise complications.
Participants will:
Understand the causes, triggers, and risk factors associated with anaphylaxis
Learn to recognise the early signs and symptoms of anaphylactic reactions
Gain practical knowledge of immediate life-saving actions during an emergency
Explore the correct use and administration of adrenaline auto-injectors (e.g. EpiPen)
Understand when and how to seek advanced emergency medical support
Learn preventive strategies through patient education and allergen avoidance
Develop skills in documenting and reporting anaphylactic incidents effectively

Nurses
Healthcare Assistants
Carers and Support Workers
Any professionals who may work with individuals at risk of severe allergic reactions
Duration: Half Day (½ day)
Mode: In-person training only
Assessment: Practical demonstration and written test
Participants will receive an Anaphylaxis Awareness Certificate, valid for 2 years.
