This half-day, in-person training course equips designated fire wardens and marshals with the knowledge and practical skills required to uphold fire safety standards, manage emergency procedures, and coordinate safe evacuation protocols in the event of a fire. The course meets workplace safety compliance and enhances confidence in responding to emergency situations.
Participants will:
Understand the roles and legal responsibilities of fire wardens and marshals
Learn the principles of fire prevention and how to reduce the risk of fire in the workplace
Gain skills in conducting fire risk assessments and identifying potential fire hazards
Learn the correct procedures for safe evacuation, including managing vulnerable individuals
Become familiar with fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, alarms, and signage
Develop strategies for effective coordination with emergency services during an incident
Understand the importance of post-evacuation reporting and continuous fire safety improvement
